FALL WREATH.
last friday, macey and i had a craft day... well afternoon. we went to michaels and bought supplies to make wreaths. getting in the fall spirit! i love crafts and DIY projects. but it was so much more fun having a friend to do it with! macey and i made our own wreaths with our own styles. they both turned out beautifully! and i'm so proud of macey for her first DIY wreath project. woop woop!
materials: wreath, ribbon, wood initial letter, leaves and other accessories, paint, hot glue gun, and a creative mind.
YEAR ROUND WREATH.
i made a spring/summer/whenever wreath back in February. my oh so sweet husband pointed out that my fall wreath was so good that i felt my other wreath didn't look as awesome anymore so i decided to spice up the other wreath before i put it in storage.
i rearranged the flowers, redid the bow (after i learned how to make a bigger and prettier bow), and added a little detail to the initial. definitely more attractive to look at. i'm quite happy with my adjustments!
(before on the LEFT. after on the RIGHT.)
SCARF.
i made it a goal to teach myself to crochet this year. and i FINALLY did it! i started learning a few weeks ago. figured out the basics and then began making a scarf. i ended up pulling the whole thing out, it was too short and thick and awkward. so i restarted, made it longer and thinner.
i'm proud of it, love the color yarn. and its the perfect warm and cozy winter scarf! i'll make my next one longer so theres a little more room to loop it around my neck. or whoever's neck. who knows how many i'll make. its an addictive hobby. i'm really excited to learn more and make hats and gloves and little toys for our baby... that we don't have yet. yay crocheting!
Had so much fun as well! Our wreaths turned out awesome!! :)
